19-year-old Rodney Wilson fatally shot during argument in Bronzeville

Rodney Wilson was was fatally shot in the chest during an argument in the Bronzeville neighborhood hood Tuesday night.

The 19-year-old Roseland neighborhood resident was sitting in a vehicle in the 4700 block of South Forrestville just after 8 p.m., Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Someone walked up to the vehicle and an argument ensued, police said. The other person fired shots that struck Wilson in the chest then ran away.

Wilson drove himself to Provident Hospital before we was transferred to Stroger Hospital. He was pronounced dead there at 7:23 a.m. Wednesday.
