Omar Gunn and Anthony Wells have been charged with fatally shooting 18-year-old Jaleel Pearson last month on the South Side, authorities said.

Witnesses identified Gunn, 17 and Wells, 18, as the two wearing hooded sweatshirts involved in the Sept. 13 shooting of Pearson in the 2200 block of East 71st Street, prosecutors said,

Authorities said Wells was acting as a lookout when Gunn chased Pearson into a store and shot him twice in the arm and chest.

Pearson’s alleged killers were rival gang members, prosecutors said.

Gunn was denied bond, authorities said. Wells, of the 7100 block of South Jeffrey Boulevard, cried in court after Judge Israel Desierto ordered him held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
