Cornelius Hunter was shot to death in the North Lawndale neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
Hunter, 24, was in a vehicle in the 1200 block of South Pulaski Road when a gunman in another vehicle fired shots in his direction about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, authorities said.
Hunter, of the 1700 block of North Luna Avenue, was shot in the chest and leg, authorities said.
After being shot, Hunter crashed the vehicle and walked into a nearby business, where somebody called 911, authorities said.
Hunter was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was declared dead at 1:26 p.m., authorities said.
Nobody has been charged for the murder.
Area South detectives are investigating.
