Lampley, who lived on the same block as Parnell, was charged with involuntary manslaughter June 9, authorities said.
Judge James Linn sentenced Lampley to 180 days in jail and two years probation during a hearing Tuesday, according to court records. He will receive credit for 160 days served in the Cook County Jail, and is scheduled to be released Nov. 29.
