A man who was found shot to death in a car in the Austin neighborhood early Sunday has been identified as 41-year-old Frederick Johnson.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired at 5:08 a.m. in the 900 block of North Massasoit found Johnson in the driver seat of a car with two gunshot wounds to the chest, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:34 a.m., authorities said. Johnson lived in the 5300 block of West Crystal.
