A man who was shot to death early Sunday in Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood gas station has been identified as 30-year-old Selton Ellis.
Ellis was standing near the front counter of the station near 72nd and Chicago at 4:27 a.m. when a male entered and shot him multiple times in the torso, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 5:18 a.m., authorities said. Ellis lived in the 7300 block of South Greenwood Avenue.
