Terrence Murphy was shot to death Sunday afternoon on a sidewalk near his home in the Austin neighborhood.
About 4:20 p.m., the 20-year-old Murphy was on a sidewalk near his home in the 5400 block of West Jackson when someone walked up and shot him in the abdomen, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Murphy was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where died at 4:43 p.m., authorities said.
