30-year-old Tyrice Anderson fatally shot on the block where he lived in South Shore

Tyrice Anderson was shot to death late Friday on the block where he lives in the South Shore neighborhood.

Officers responding to a call of a person shot just before midnight found him near 78th Street and South Shore Drive with a gunshot wound to the head, Chicago Police said.

Anderson, 30, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 1:03 a.m. Saturday, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office and police. He lived in the same block as the shooting.
