Clara Gonzalez of south suburban Lansing was shot to death early Sunday in the South Deering neighborhood on the Far South Side.
Witnesses told police that they found Gonzalez in the 10700 block of South Hoxie about 2:34 a.m., and she told them she had been shot, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Gonzalez had suffered a gunshot wound to the body, and someone took her to Trinity Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 3:06 a.m., authorities said. She lived in the 2900 block of 193rd Place in Lansing.
