A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in the South Side Washington Park neighborhood has been identified as Izat Morrar.
Morrar, 37, was on the sidewalk at 3:52 p.m. in the 5300 block of South Calumet, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
A vehicle drove by and someone inside opened fire, police said.
Morrar was shot multiple times in the head, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:10 p.m., authorities said.
He lived in the South Loop.
