Lloyd Westbrook was found shot to death Monday morning in a gangway in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The 22-year-old was found with an apparent gunshot wound in a gangway in the 100 block of North Long, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
The shooting is thought to have happened late Sunday, but Westbrook, who lived several blocks away in the same neighborhood, was not found until about 9:30 a.m. Monday, police said.
An autopsy showed he died of a gunshot wound to the back, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Area North detectives are investigating.
