Angelo Frazier of south suburban University Park was shot to death on Christmas Day in Englewood on the South Side.
Officers responding to a call of shots fired at 11:36 a.m. Friday in the 700 block of West 71st Street found the 20-year-old Frazier with multiple gunshot wounds to the thigh, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later, authorities said.
Frazier lived in the 600 block of Sullivan Lane in University Park.
Craig Harris was shot to death Thursday afternoon outside his home in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.
A witness told police that the 30-year-old Harris went outside about 4:50 p.m. and four males were waiting for him in a gangway in the 7300 block of South Vernon, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Police said the witness heard gunshots, then ran inside to call police.
Harris, who lived on the same block as the shooting, was hit in the temple and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Nathan Smith was shot to death Wednesday evening during an argument inside his Austin neighborhood home on the West Side, according to Chicago Police.
At 6:15 p.m., the 39-year-old Smith was in his home in the 1000 block of North Lamon Avenue when he began fighting with someone inside and shots rang out, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Smith was shot multiple times, and was pronounced dead at the home at 6:35 p.m., authorities said.

City officials have closed a Bucktown nightclub after a fight inside spilled out onto the street early Sunday, leading to a shooting that left 21-year-old Ieshea N. Abdullah dead and a man wounded.
Chicago Police, the city Department of Business Affairs and Ald. Brian Hopkins approved the immediate and temporary closing of the Koncrete Nightclub in the 1600 block of North Elston, according to a statement the city issued Wednesday.
About 3:40 a.m. Sunday, a fight inside the club spilled onto the street and Abdullah was shot in the head and a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg, according to police. Read more
Christopher Ruffin of south suburban Richton Park was killed and a woman injured in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The shooting happened in the 1100 block of North Leclaire Avenue at 1:45 p.m., according to Chicago Police.
The 33-year-old Ruffin was shot multiple times and was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead about 45 minutes later, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Read more
A second man has been charged in connection with the September murder of former Mount Carmel standout athlete Lavell Southern outside a West Loop club.
Deangelo Green, 31, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery with discharge of a firearm, according to Chicago Police.
Southern, 23, and a 23-year-old friend were leaving the club in the 1100 block of West Randolph after a birthday party about 2:30 a.m. on Sept. 6 when they encountered several men, including Green and 32-year-old Andre Harris, according to police and prosecutors.according to police and Cook County prosecutors. A man killed in a shooting that left another man wounded Sunday morning in the South Side Back of the Yards neighborhood has been identified as Deovolente Simmons.
Simmons, 31, and a 33-year-old man were sitting in a car parked in the 5400 block of South Laflin about 5:30 a.m. when shots were fired, hitting Simmons in the chest and grazing the older man’s head, according to Chicago Police.
They were taken to Stroger Hospital, where Simmons was pronounced dead at 6:42 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He lived in the 3800 block of West Lexington.
One of two men charged with a shooting at an Englewood gas station in 2013 that left Devorite Diggins dead has been found not guilty.
Valton Cooper, 25, was acquitted of first-degree murder Thursday after a bench trial before Judge James Orbish, according to Cook County court records. Cooper was charged with the Nov. 13, 2013, murder of the 21-year-old Diggins.
Diggins and his 21-year-old cousin entered the station in the 800 block of West 59th Street about 2:20 p.m. and began talking with an associate of Diggins’ cousin, authorities said. Read more

Fredell Bryant answered his door about 6 a.m. in the 5200 block of South Green in Back of the Yards, and was shot twice in the chest, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Bryant, 71, was taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:51 a.m.
